An Exceptional Rosewood Dressing Case Silver 1847

A really exceptional quality rosewood dressing case with fully fitted interior in silver hallmarked for 1847. Stamped S. Mordan & Co Makers. Each silver lid is engraved with a family crest and all are in perfect and complete condition as are the glass containers. The rosewood and brass lined mirror is retained by a spring fastener in the lid and is reversible with the original blue velvet to the other side. A further spring catch retains a drawer lined with dark blue Moroccan leather and has dividers for jewellery. A further lift out tray again in blue leather is below, the case is of exceptional quality and workmanship. A truly stunning dressing case and so hard to find in such wonderful condition.
